Our Academics
Through the proficiency awards scheme, Youth Brigaders acquire skills and knowledge in various aspects of Leadership, Survival, National and Global Awareness and Community Spiritedness. The Proficiency Awards scheme is designed to develop Youth Brigaders in 4 aspects, which are Spiritual, Physical, Educational and Social, as according to how Jesus grew up, mentioned in Luke 2:52: "Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man."
Some examples of the badges are as follows:
Target Badge
The first badge for the Company Section. Brigaders must first complete the Target Badge before any trainings and assessments of other badges
Christian Education Badge
This badge aims at promoting all-rounded development of our youth through the teaching of the Holy Bible, including Old & New Testament, 10 Commandments & Applications, The Life of Christ, Gospel, Ecclesiology & the Holy Spirit
First Aid Badge
The aim of this badge is to facilitate our Brigaders to master appropriate first-aid knowledge, learn how to handle emergency situation and offer help to the individuals in need, including Choking, Allergy and Burns.
Camping Badge
The aim of this badge is to train and introduce the camping skills and knowledge of our Brigaders, inluding building and dismantling tents,
Knots (Sheer Lashing, Tripod Lashing, Diagonal Lashing & etc.) and campig knowlege and practical skills.
STEM-Robotics Workshops
Collaborating with EUREKA Robotics Centre, the series of workshops aims to provide accessible insights into the field of STEM through robotics and delivers hands-on demonstrations of the cutting-edge technologies in Wales.

International Relation Badge: STM
This badge is to develop BB to learn the international BB, their local cultures, living styles and traditional customs of different countries, i.e. Malaysia, so that BB can learn to respect, concern, notice and care non-UK people and to possibly conduct STM (subject to funding).
Awards
In addition, the BB offers opportunities for exposure and skills development, through leadership development courses, National-level competitions and Global community service projects, including The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE), a globally recognised award for youth development.
